SMS Marketing Opt-In Process
Sigma Synapses is committed to ensuring that all marketing SMS messages are sent only to users who have knowingly opted in to receive them. We maintain a transparent, consent-based process in line with industry and legal requirements.
How Users Opt-In
Customers can opt in to receive marketing SMS from Sigma Synapses through the following process:
Website Form
- • Users visit our website at https://sigmasynapses.com
- • On sign-up or contact pages, users are presented with an option to receive marketing SMS
- • Next to the phone number field, we include a clear disclosure:
"Yes, I agree to receive marketing updates and offers via SMS from Sigma Synapses at the phone number provided. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time."
Users must check this box (or otherwise give explicit consent) before submitting their information.
Double Opt-In (Optional, but recommended)
- • After submitting the web form, users receive a confirmation SMS
- • The confirmation SMS requests that they reply "YES" to confirm their subscription
- • Only after confirming via reply do we begin sending marketing SMS
Record Keeping
We log and securely store the following details for each opt-in:
Opt-Out Process
- Every SMS message includes clear instructions to unsubscribe, e.g., "Reply STOP to opt out."
- Opt-out requests are processed immediately and users will no longer receive marketing SMS from us.

Important: Sigma Synapses LLC does not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share your information only with trusted service providers to deliver the services you request.
Connected Accounts & Google User Data
Sigma Synapses lets you connect third-party accounts — including Google Calendar — so our scheduling features can work on your behalf. Connecting is optional and is initiated by you through Google's standard OAuth consent screen, and you can disconnect at any time.
What Google data we access
When you connect Google Calendar, with your consent we request access to:
- your calendar list and availability (free/busy times), so we can show real open times on your booking pages; and
- your calendar events, so we can create, update, and cancel the meetings booked through Sigma Synapses and keep them in sync.
How we use it
We use Google Calendar data solely to provide the scheduling features you request — reading availability to offer open times and writing the booking events you or your invitees create. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not transfer it to others except as necessary to provide the service (for example, our self-hosted scheduling infrastructure), to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition. Humans do not read your Google data except with your explicit consent, for security or abuse investigations, or where required by law.
Storage, retention & revocation
OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest and are used only to make the calendar requests described above. You can revoke access at any time from within Sigma Synapses or from your Google Account's third-party access settings. When you disconnect, we stop accessing your Google data and delete the associated tokens.
Limited Use disclosure. Sigma Synapses' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Analytics & Cookies
We use privacy-respecting product analytics — PostHog, Google Analytics, and Vercel Analytics — to understand how our site and app are used so we can improve them.
- This may include aggregate usage data and limited session analytics — pages viewed, clicks, and session replays with sensitive inputs like passwords masked.
- We use this only to operate and improve our service. We do not sell your personal information.
- When our embeddable chat widget is placed on a customer's website, it may collect chat-interaction and session analytics on behalf of that business.
- Cookies and local storage are used for essential functionality and for these analytics.
